Dolly-Anna sell
wigs, shoes etc including wonderful long mohair wigs suitable for antique
dolls. They're actually an Australian company but I have yet to find a
New Zealand company selling antique style ready-made long mohair wigs.
In the past I purchased two wigs from them and was very impressed with the fast service
(four days from date of order to delivery) and the wigs look lovely on my
dolls - you can't even tell they're replacements.

Hamilton
Hamilton Dolls Hospital, 16 Livingstone Ave, Hamilton, e-mail dollshospital@wave.co.nz
phone (07) 847 6635. Repairs modern to antique but predominately
repairs to dolls of the 30s, 40s and 50s. Also sells preloved dolls ,
new dolls clothes, shoes, hats, wigs, stands and other doll related items.
For buying books about antique dolls (an essential if you
are a serious doll collector) then I recommend Barnes & Noble or Amazon.
Barnes & Noble are based in the USA but it generally works out cheaper to buy books from them
and pay the international postage than it does to buy the same books in shops in
New Zealand. If you
are browing Barnes & Noble's categories, the antique doll books are to be
found in their Collectible Dolls & Dollhouses section
.
Amazon are based in the UK and USA and also ship internationally. As well as pricing for the new
books, they also provide pricing for buying the books secondhand.
