Steiner Gigoteur

This is an unusual doll, not to everyone's taste, but I think she's great!  She has two rows of teeth which makes her look a bit fierce.  She is known as a Steiner Gigoteur or a kicking Steiner and she has key that when wound makes her arms and legs move back and forth and she squeaks.  There is also a lever that stops and starts the movement.  If you lie her on her back it looks like she is throwing a tantrum, if you stand her up it looks like she is walking!  Her hair is original and is human hair, clothing is old but I don't think it's original.  She dates from around the 1870s and is 52 cm tall.
