Portrait Jumeau

This early Jumeau doll is known as a Portrait Jumeau.  She is 38 cm tall and is marked on the back of her head with DEPOSE and her size number which is 6.  She has a gorgeous face with fixed blue paperweight eyes and delicately painted features.  She has the remains of her original skin wig, probably goatskin.  She has an early Jumeau body with separate ball joints at the elbows and hips.  Her clothing is not old.  She dates from the 1870s to 1880s.
