This wonderful pair of matching dolls measure 28 cm tall. They have
paper mache heads on excelsior stuffed cloth bodies with composition lower
limbs. Their simple tunics with neck trim appear original. They
would have been cheaply made and inexpensive to buy when new but are very much
in the style of the more expensive bisque character dolls made by Gebruder
Heubach and Gebruder Knoch. Both are stamped Germany underneath their left
foot but interestingly the stamps are different in style.
