Kley & Hahn two-faced babies

Kley & Hahn made a variety of character dolls.  They also made multi-face babies using some of the mould numbers used for normal single faced dolls.  Here are two bisque head two-faced babies on five piece composition baby bodies.  Both are similar but have different mould numbers.

The larger of the two dolls is 32 cm tall.  His laughing face has blue glass sleep eyes and is marked with the mould number 1.  On the other side of his head his crying face has blue painted eyes and is marked with the mould number 159.  He wears his original clothes.

The smaller of the two dolls is 25 cm tall.  His laughing face has brown painted eyes and is marked 2/0.  On the other side of his head his crying face has brown painted eyes and is marked with the mould number 567.  Most dolls with painted eyes have blue eyes so it is unusual to find a doll with brown painted eyes.  He wears replacement clothes.
