Hedda Get BeddaHedda Get Bedda is a 51 cm vinyl doll from a series called Whimsies made by the American Doll & Toy Corp. Whimsies featured many different characters and are very popular with collectors these days. Hedda Get Bedda was made in 1961. She depicts a sick doll with measles. Her faces are changed by turning the vinyl pompom on the top of her head which changes her face from sick to smiling to sleeping. The pyjamas came in two colours - blue flowers or red flowers, both variations of which are pictured below. Hedda came with a wooden thermometer that is missing in the majority of cases, not surprising as it is not very big. The Hedda in red is lucky enough to still have the original thermometer attached to her wrist.
