Max Handwerck two-faced soldier helmet googly

This unusual two-faced doll has a different soldier on each side of his head, rather than the usual multi-faced doll that normally has different expressions on the faces.  His bisque head is marked Dep Elite DT 2/0 and he was made by the German maker Max Handwerck in around 1915.  He measures 28 cm tall.  He has a fully jointed chubby composition body.  I don't think his outfit is original but the colouring matches the helmets well.
