Gebruder Knoch 216 character

Gebruder Knoch of Germany made dolls very similar to those of the more well known Gebruder Heubach.  This one with bisque shoulderhead is marked Ges No 216 Gesch and is 43 cm tall.  He has painted intaglio eyes and open/closed mouth with two moulded lower teeth.  The head is on its original stamped cloth body with bisque lower arms.  Mould number 216 is more commonly found in a socket head and in a smaller size.  He would have been made in around 1912.
