Gebruder Heubach three faced doll
This very expressive multi-faced doll has a bisque head made by Gebruder Heubach. Heubach made a lot of heads that were assembled by other companies and in this case, the head was made for Carl Bergner, a prolific maker of multi-faced dolls. The doll's paper mache shoulder plate is stamped with Carl Bergner's initials CB on the back of it. She measures 32 cm in length. The cloth, paper mache and composition body is all original with the exception of the cloth upper legs, which have been replaced. The pull strings in the torso activate the voice box - I'm not sure what she is supposed to be saying but one string makes her squeak twice, the other making her squeak three times. Her outfit isn't original.
