Auckland Midwinter Doll & Teddy Bear Show

Auckland Midwinter Doll & Teddy Bear Show

Did anyone else go to this? I went this morning. It's changed over the years and there aren't as many antique and old dolls as I'd like to see. However it's always fun to run into other doll collectors and chat. I didn't spend much - just bought a pair of glass eyes for a German compo baby I have that's missing an eye, plus I got a book on German dolls for only $5, but it was worth going for that. I'd be interested to hear if anyone else went and what you managed to find.

Yes, I went to the show, and was first in the queue. I did notice that some "old regular" stallholders were not present, but I still had a great time and did not leave till probablely 14:30. Unfortunately I spent way too much, and surprisingly on teddy bears not dolls. I did however buy lots of doll wigs. Just waiting for the next one.
