Carl Bergner two-faced doll

Carl Bergner of Germany specialised in multi-faced dolls, usually with two or three faces on the one head.  The dolls were usually stamped on their shoulderplate with CB in a circle.  This doll is not marked but typical of the type of doll he made.  It has a bisque head with stationary glass eyes, the head being encased in a papier mache hood with a wooden dowel to turn the head around.  The body is cloth with composition limbs.  The smiling face has an open/closed mouth with painted teeth, on the other face she is screaming.  She is 37 cm tall.
