Carl Bergner two-faced dollCarl Bergner of Germany specialised in multi-faced dolls, usually with two or three faces on the one head. The dolls were usually stamped on their shoulderplate with CB in a circle. This doll is not marked but typical of the type of doll he made. It has a bisque head with stationary glass eyes, the head being encased in a papier mache hood with a wooden dowel to turn the head around. The body is cloth with composition limbs. The smiling face has an open/closed mouth with painted teeth, on the other face she is screaming. She is 37 cm tall.
