There are a lot of celluloid kewpie dolls around but the black ones don't
turn up that often. These two are both made in Japan. The larger
kewpie is 11 cm tall while the smaller one is 5 cm tall. Generally these
dolls were not jointed at the legs so the smaller one having jointed legs is
also a rare feature.
